Notre Dame Elementary Celebrating Successful Terry Fox Fundraiser
After raising $4,659 for the Terry Fox Foundation, staff and students of École Notre Dame Elementary are celebrating.
Principal Mme. Reid promised her school if they raised over a certain amount for this year's Terry Fox Run, they could pie her in the face. Students and staff went above and beyond and as a result had the opportunity to pie not only Mme. Reid, but also Vice Principal Mrs. Lanceleve, and former Vice Principal of NDE and current Principal of Dr. Bernard Brosseau School Mr. Marion.
NDHS Hungry for the Homeless
On Friday, September 23, students of École Notre Dame High rallied for their annual fight against hunger.
Hungry for the Homeless is a yearly fundraiser hosted by NDHS, and collects non-perishable food items and cash donations for the community.
In total, the school raised $5,375 and 1,350 pounds of food. The cash donations will be shared amongst community groups, while the food will be donated to the Bonnyville Food Bank.
Running for Terry Fox
Staff and students walked and ran for Terry Fox throughout the month of September, raising funds for cancer research.

Students were present with their Honour Roll certificates, medals for outstanding accomplishments, trophies for academics and athletics, as well as their scholarships.

Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day
Across Lakeland Catholic, our schools celebrated Indigenous culture and heritage for National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21.
Schools participated in activities inspired by the meaning behind Indigenous Peoples Day and shared why celebrating the day was important to them.
Bonnyville schools travelled to the Centennial Centre to witness traditional dancing during an event hosted by the Bonnyville Friendship Centre. In some dances, Lakeland Catholic students were participants and were cheered on by their classmates.

The Kindergarten students of École Notre Dame Elementary School celebrated moving onto Grade 1 next year with a Kindergarten Graduation ceremony held on June 16.

In addition to receiving recognition from local schools, the high school students were congratulated by residents of the BonnyLodge and Extendicare facilities.
