Weather is warming up! We ask parents of all grades to send in extra clothes in your child’s backpack in case they get wet while playing outside. This will help with continued learning without disruption.

Thank you CLFN for this amazing opportunity.

This week is the Book Fair!

Priority 2: After Mrs. MacNiven’s students took a walk to see what types of buildings and places we have in our community, some students were found building their own community in the block centre during Free Choice Centres. They began with a car wash and a car dealership and eventually, through collaboration and team work, they connected these and built a hotel and restaurant. Students representing their community through play shows a deep understanding of the world around them and working together is key in developing friendship and problem solving skills.

The Paper Bag Princess
EAL students were buzzing with excitement as they dove into Robert Munsch’s The Paper Bag Princess! Students quickly discovered that this tiny book holds a big story.
It wasn’t just a read-aloud—it was a full production. From fierce dragon snores to Elizabeth’s iconic stand-off, students brought the story to life through drama, acting, and alternate endings—proving you don’t need a prince to have a happily ever after. 🏰👑

Community Connection

Tomorrow is free hot lunch from Master Caterers and Holy Cross Elementary ! Please send snacks for snack time and and alternate lunch if you child doesn't wish to partake.

Today is the feast day of St. Patrick. On the announcements this morning, we took a moment to learn about the feast day.

Priority 2: After some very heavy snow this winter, Mrs. Mac’s Kinders trekked over to Shipwreck Park to see how deep the snow was. When we arrived, we were the first ones to walk through the fresh snow and students were shocked at how difficult it was for us to create a path. Students compared the depth in different areas of the park (on the play structure, on the grass area, by the swings, etc.) and discussed who it was deepest on. What a wonderful way for students to practice language used in measurement and comparison!

Tomorrow is Mercy Day!

March 17th

The students voted to raise money this month for our Social Justice Project. Tomorrow is Tonnie Tuesday!
