Student and Staff Safety
The safety of our students and staff is always our highest priority. While schools are among the safest places in our communities, emergencies can happen anywhere at any time.
Lakeland Catholic has a comprehensive emergency response plan in place to ensure we are ready to respond effectively. Each of our schools has an on-site emergency team, supported by a division-level response team. Lakeland Catholic also has an OH&S committee with a representative from each school. Our plans are reviewed regularly and developed in close partnership with local emergency services to ensure a coordinated approach.
Throughout the school year, staff and students practice safety drills such as fire drills, lockdowns, and shelter-in-place procedures so that everyone is prepared to respond calmly and quickly if a real emergency arises. These rehearsals not only strengthen our preparedness but also help reduce fear and uncertainty in a crisis situation.
We ask for the continued support of our families in following school procedures and emergency communication protocols. By working together, we ensure that every child is cared for and protected.
