Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to Lakeland Catholic School Division. We provide Catholic education to approximately 2,700 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 in eight schools located in Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Lac La Biche, and Waskatenau.

In addition, we provide services to an institutional school and prekindergarten services to approximately 150 students.

Lakeland Catholic offers a broad curriculum that develops essential skills and competencies through advanced technologies, problem solving, critical thinking, cultural enrichment, and spiritual growth of all students. In essence, we provide education with a purpose. Parents, teachers, trustees, administrators, and the entire Lakeland Catholic community are involved in the vital mission of providing education of the highest calibre that is permeated by our Catholic faith.

We offer an extensive professional development program for all of our staff that ensure they make the best use of technology, time, and community resources to maximize student learning. We believe that an effective professional development program, combined with the continuous evaluation of staff and program effectiveness is critical to student learning and development.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the administration of Lakeland Catholic Schools, I wish everyone an excellent and productive school year.
