Teachers and principals from all schools gathered for Mass and a Sharing the Faith celebration honouring Year 1 and Year 2 teachers who are growing in their vocation and embracing what it means to be Catholic educators.
From praying before games and exams to leading music ministry and creating space for spiritual reflection, these teachers are living the mission of Catholic education each day. Their work is already making a meaningful difference—helping students feel seen, supported, and connected to their faith in ways that last a lifetime.

LCSD has excellence in teaching!
In Ms. Warshawski’s ELA 20-1 class, students brought Macbeth to life through creative, hands-on projects that showcased their understanding of the play. With guiding themes and reflection questions, each student explored the story in a unique and meaningful way - a testament to Ms. Warshawski’s inspiring approach to teaching.
Pictured here are LCSD’s new Deputy Superintendent of System Excellence, Jody Seymour, and NDHS Principal, Vince Spila, who stopped by to celebrate the incredible learning taking place in her classroom.
We’re proud to celebrate exceptional teaching that inspires students to think deeply, explore creatively, and learn meaningfully.

This past weekend, Siobhan Squires from AJSH attended the annual Catholic Educators' SPICE retreat, with others from our division, to receive her Excellence in Catholic Education Award from the Conference of Catholic School Superintendents of Alberta among her peers from throughout the province.
