Today our Faith Leads gathered for a day of prayer, reflection, and collaboration. The session invited leaders to explore the Catholic worldview and its role in guiding our students toward wisdom, truth, and faith-filled lives.

The first Lakeland Catholic classroom prayer tables have been blessed at St. Dominic Elementary School! It was a special day, also in celebration of Fr. Nong’s birthday! He visited each classroom taking time to bless the students too, reminding them of the prayer table’s importance, central to their learning space as they grow in faith & knowledge. Thank you Fr. Nong for the connections you make with students & staff, emphasizing the words of St. Mother Teresa, to make the ordinary extraordinary!
Today we celebrate the Feast of Saint Teresa of Calcutta, whose life reminds us that God’s presence can be found in simple, everyday acts. Her words, ‘Do small things with great love,’ will guide our faith journey from 2025–2029 as we live out this message in our schools and communities.
🚌 Important School Bus Safety Tips
When red lights flash — STOP. No passing from either direction.
Arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes early
Stay 3 metres back until the bus is at a full stop
Use handrails and take five big steps away after exiting
Stay seated and keep aisles clear on the bus
Drivers: It’s illegal to pass a bus with flashing red lights | Be prepared to stop when you see the amber lights
